Better buy one of the auto parts.

Very cheap item. I ordered it twice and both didn't work with the key. Better buy it from an auto parts store and make sure it fits and works.

Fits 1982 Firebird transmission, I'm fine

Working properly. Perfect fit for my 1982 Firebird transmission. No worry of someone stealing gas, more of a protection against a possible nasty prank like sticking something in my gas tank just because my car looks so bad. (Painting required, all native, no damage)
