Anti-Static Material Handling

When I first saw this on someone's vehicle and was told what it was, I wanted to laugh and say the right thing. I believe in it now. I live on dirt roads. And I wasn't sure I could believe it worked. It was easy to install and now I believe. I have almost no dust sticking to my truck and no static electricity. I think it's a great purchase

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

The investigations are ongoing.

I'm in the middle of an experiment to see if these static tapes will limit the dust sticking to my jeep. My early observation is that they help some, but there is a price. Many people have never seen static belts and will try to help you by saying that something is stuck on your car. Well, you can't get too upset about people trying to help.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Works as advertised.

Received quickly. I've run generic versions on a previous truck before, and they usually break or snap after a while. In most cases, they freeze to the ground in winter and then break when you leave. I checked the resistance end to end and it will reset my counter (indicates a direct connection). So it's nothing more than pulling wires behind you across the floor. Static belts have worked well for me in the past, so I expect nothing less from them.

Unreliable for seat belts

I bought this grounding strap because I hated getting hit every time I got out of the car and worse, this momentary fear before I touched the car and wondered whether or not you're going to hit the ground wire from my engine, in the middle of the front of the car. This works about 40% of the time to prevent any static discharge. This works about 20% of the time to reduce static build up. It works about 0% of the time to keep me from worrying about whether or not I'm going to go into shock. You…

The best anti-static investment you will ever make

I am very happy with my purchase of this anti-static belt. After seeing some negative reviews I wondered whether I should actually buy or not but I took the leap of faith and bought this and boy did it pay off. Everyone else with positive feedback has mentioned it, and I'll also mention the obvious: the belt needs to be bolted on with clear contact with the body. I've had this installed for almost 4 weeks now and the static/discharge has been zero for me or my passengers. Before the…

Suitable for power chair

Bought this harness for the light weight power chair my mum uses. We go to the mall several times a week and the chair generates a lot of static electricity. It bothered my mother less than me because every time I touched her or a chair I was shocked. This was common, especially when pressing in manual mode. I was told by the chair seller that there really is no solution to this. Okay I found a review of this product on your chair and decided to give it a try. I cut about three inches off the…

Approved for wheelchair shock absorbers!

I have this for my transport chair (I'm a wheelchair but with small rear wheels). Anyone who pushed me into a chair was repeatedly and severely shocked by the accumulation of static electricity. I remembered seeing police cars with a small piece of rubber hanging from the back and realized that they were designed to be static safe because the electrical in their cars creates a lot of static electricity. When I searched the internet for anti-static for wheelchairs, I didn't find anything useful…

No Static Reduced Shock

Static can come from a variety of sources. I bought one of these to dissipate the static that usually builds up in any car while driving. Static electricity build-up in a vehicle is simply due to the interaction between the metal body of the vehicle and the air molecules passing through and against it. This tape dissipates static electricity in the metal body of the car very well and there is a lot less dust on my car as there is no static cling to attract it. This is good for me because I live
