I used it to patch a small hole in a down jacket.

He patched a small hole in the down jacket. So far it has worked incredibly well; sticks firmly to the fabric and has stayed that way ever since (my jacket was slate gray and the black stain is barely noticeable - it almost looks intentional). often, and (b) it has only been a few weeks. If for any reason this product starts chipping, smudging, peeling etc I will definitely update this review. UPDATE: A year later, the down jacket patch is still holding! I've also used this to patch some trail…

Sorry, that wasn't for me!

I was excited to purchase this heavy duty tape hoping to mend a small tear on my north side down jacket so I ordered a black/clear combination kit to use for my light grey jacket could use. I trimmed the transparent part and it was almost impossible to remove the backing from it. I went through all three transparent patches and finally got a usable fragment. I taped it to my jacket and it looks like a piece of clear tape on your jacket which was quite fine with me, but the next day when I…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Reliability

I made the mistake of using my new down jacket as a winch cable dampener and it got caught around a tree while lifting another jeep. As a result, several tears formed on the nylon sheath, which I temporarily sealed with medical tape. I replaced the medical tape with these patches and while the jacket doesn't look like new, the repair is difficult to see. The best part is that the jacket had to be washed a few weeks after it was sealed. I put the jacket in the front load washing machine on a…

So glad I found her! Holy spring pin!

I bought the sheets after receiving the jacket I ordered and noticing that it had a small hole. The company I bought it from sent me a replacement, refunded my money and let me keep the jacket. We live on a farm so having it as an extra jacket is very handy. However, the feathers flying everywhere were a nuisance. I bought these patches not knowing what to expect. I had never owned a down jacket before so trying to fix it seemed almost impossible. Luckily I searched for Revain and found this…

Is working. Mostly

These works. most of time. I have a pair of hiking pants (polyester fabric) that had a hole in the crotch area after vigorously fanning the fire. I love that it has both black and clear spots; I used sheer and cut out two small squares for the outside and inside of the fabric. I also have a shirt (cotton) with a hole so I used the same treatment but this time with black spots. After putting them on I put some weight on the area to make sure they would stick to the fabric. After that I tossed…

Pros
  • Art supplies
Cons
  • Only available in white

I was so happy when I read the rave reviews about these patches. I inherited a lovely North Face jacket that had 4 separate small holes, each no bigger than a pencil eraser. I cleaned each area with alcohol before carefully cutting out each circle to cover the holes. Allow the alcohol to dry/evaporate completely. The patches are easy to use, easy to cut and surprisingly easy to peel off the backing paper. I attached each one to the holes with a sizable margin to make sure it would fit snugly on
