Bad design causes problems.

The shape of the tabs does not match the windshield trim brackets and bending the tabs downward will cause the windshield to chip, resulting in cracks. Cracked windshield on the 3rd clip. I threw it away once, but was able to borrow a similar one (different manufacturer) from a friend that has a differently shaped lug with an "up" curve so it doesn't hit the windshield even if you slide off.

Pros
  • Body repair tools
Cons
  • Not bad

Handy tool but no instructions

I've seen them in action but never used them, instructions would be nice. a larger hole so they pop out of the studs holding the clamps. If they are pulled out in this way they will fall off and loosen their grip on the panel and you can remove the panel and remove the clips around the windshield or rear window to reseal or replace. 1 star deducted for lack of instructions.

Pros
  • Upholstery and trim tools
Cons
  • Can hurt

Not great, but better than none

I usually have good luck with KD tools, but this one didn't work the way I was hoping. I restore cars as a hobby so I don't expect this tool to work like the Pro version. I used it on a 1972 Camaro and just didn't find the shape and thickness of the blade right for the job. I modified an edge with a grinder and the tool worked better. As the title says, it worked better than not having that special tool, so I'm glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Style 90
