Works well, difficult to install

In fact, removing the non-working stock motor was a really difficult task. However, the bolt tolerance is quite tight, both for the vehicle frame and for mounting the motor/pivot assembly to the running board.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Cheap for a reason

The motors are relatively easy to install. Longevity is questionable. Within a month the motor on the driver's side stalled and wouldn't close with my foot without my help. I contacted the seller who offered a $30 refund. in general I don't know. I think that's the case, but I wouldn't buy it again. I would just buy regular aftermarket footpegs.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Poor kit

Had to modify heavily for EL type

Great product and price but I had to grind the small end of the bracket pivot pin and remove the whole pin with a vise, punch and hammer. I replaced the hinge pin with a long bolt and drilled a hole for the dowel pin. **This was all because it doesn't come with an extended pivot that takes a long rod through the rear bracket assembly. Be ready to modify it for your Expedition EL or Navigator L versions.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No mold required

Ford Expedition Driver Side Footboard Motor Replaced

It worked great. Exactly what this seller claims (although different part/stock number). It's the same as Ford Motor (at any dealer and/or online through a subsidiary) for the same part, literally twice, if not more, for you. We were offered $1,000. Motor replacement by dealer. We have great neighbors and when our neighbor heard this he said if we get the part he will replace it for us. Today it was done in less than an hour.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Fairly Good
