Bought for Acura TL 2005. Doesn't fit close to the car. There is a 1/8 inch (approximately) gap between the base and the car.

After two (2) tickets for missing a front license plate I was looking for a retainer. Fits perfectly! Very satisfied! I would rather NOT have to carry it as most Acura TLs on the road DO NOT have front number plates (only rear ones) but are tired of paying a fine. So if you must have a front number plate, this is the perfect solution.

Purchased for '09 TL, fits well in factory installed holes. However, since this isn't done on the 09, the third hole (the one in the picture above, but below when installed) doesn't quite touch the bumper (although I wasn't planning on drilling a hole for it anyway). ) still holds securely without them, and let me install my faceplate (as required in Texas) without making new holes.

I used this to attach the faceplate to my 2009 Acura TL. I love how this license plate holder creates space between the license plate and the bumper. This gives it an individual look. The material seems hard. One reviewer mentioned that you would need two sets of screws, and rightly so.
