Fits like a charm onto the yellow 'easy-fill' tank neck. I'm sure it can be torn down eventually, but you have to be SUPER determined. The lock is smooth and secure, and the fit is surprisingly snug. Again, none of this will stop someone who is very determined, but I think it will put off most idlers and that's the whole point.

On my expedition, a faulty fuel filler door/flange on the gas filler neck was causing air to constantly enter the fuel system. My local dealer quoted over $500 and said the only solution was to replace the entire tank. This little device covered the tank opening and prevented air from entering the system. Also, it prevents anyone from trying to steal the fuel. Definitely save money! If you know someone who drives a Ford without a filling system, I highly recommend it!

Very expensive for a cheap piece of plastic but hopefully this will stop various engine emission test codes due to a capless fuel tank. Haven't had any problems with it so far. On my 2011 Fusion I get a lot of 'check fuel cap' warnings even after cleaning and lubricating the fuel filler neck, so I decided to give this a try. The warning hasn't come yet, so it seems to be working. Comes with two keys but I live in a good area so I put one key in the plug (the door still closes if the key stays in the plug) and the other key on the car keys. I was told I would have to spend $1000 in parts and labor for a new filler neck for my 2008 Ford Explorer because an EVAP leak occurs when you install the fuel nozzle in the car.
