Doesn't open or close fast enough for .

It doesn't seem to open and close fast enough for the elevators to work properly. Misfire when disabling after rebuilding a new engine and this part

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Some little things

Good seal and excellent packaging

Everything you need came Good seal and excellent packaging, probably the best shipping packaging I have ever seen. It comes with a gasket and a small strainer for the oil pressure gauge. You need to replace the sensor of the old device. This is a new style device.

Wasted effort and $

Exactly a year has passed and it doesn't fail, horror. I rebuilt the top of my engine, going from 4 cylinders to 8 felt a bit slow but nothing major. Then it doesn't work yesterday. Wasted effort and money. Was hoping the path to OEM would be a better product. Dod delete is the only safe way to avoid problems.

Too bad I didn't replace it on the go

Exactly what I needed. Too bad I didn't swap it in between. So if you start getting low oil pressure, it's probably a strainer under the gauge. But I've noticed that it also starves strength athletes. So keep it up and keep an eye on it. Make sure you switch it at the same time as the lifters. New ones are also blocked

  • nice thing
Cons
  • boring packaging

Looks similar, same part number but.

This is my first replacement for this part, my 2008 Pioneer v8 5.3 was making a loud metallic noise in the engine bay. I checked everything and found it was broken and my oil pressure gauge was a bit low. I'm not sure if this part is a real GM. I compare it to the old one and see some differences but in the end it works.

  • Pretty impressive

Car runs like new again

After I received a broken AFM tappet in my wife's 2007 Tahoe we ordered this VLOM along with a complete tappet set. The car drives like new again! We also pre-ordered Range Technology's ACM disconnect device, which plugs into the under-dash diagnostic port. This prevents the vehicle from re-entering V4 mode. Not only does the car drive like new again, but it's also smoother and more responsive, just like a V8 engine should be!

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

Apparently a terrible piece!

I just rebuilt the top of the engine on my 5.3L Suburban from a 2007 AFM. I bought this VLOM as a recommended elevator replacement. The top of my engine wasn't too bad, I had just collapsed an AFM lifter, but while I was taking it apart it made sense to work on the cylinder heads. My mechanic (who is also a relative) and I only put it back together because of a misfire. We spoke to a local Chevy supplier and service technician, as well as several other shops. We checked all possible problems to
