leaks like crazy parts

Put a new oil seal on, tightened all the bolts that went around the block and pulled out on my way and it leaks more than my old oil seal .

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • There are flaws

Great, buy original GM GMS sealing compound.

Excellent GM quality. Passed through very easily. Complete sentence. But be safe and use genuine GM sealant on your installation. No need to drop the oil pan. Use GMS 10-2010 for your sealing.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

get what you pay for

found cheaper versions of this product but as a mechanic I replaced a couple of these seals and found they match the original brand. So spend a few extra bucks to buy genuine gaskets and get the job done once. I'm just saying.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • upgradeable

This completely fixed my oil leak.

Great product. Updated design. I fixed my rear leak in a 2001 Silverado 5.3 4x4 that had been getting progressively worse over the past 6 years. Bad enough that I stopped making long trips just because I was afraid of losing too much oil. Installation was pretty easy. Pulling out the transfer case and transmission is a lot of work for those of you who want to do it. This can be done in a full day, but will likely take you two days and an assistant. It's been almost a month and still no leaks.

Great product, fits well and had no problems.

I bought this for my 2007 Tahoe LT Flex Fuel 5.3L Truck. I was leaking oil from underneath and found that the truck had over 170,000 miles on it, so instead of just replacing the gasket itself, I decided to replace a few other gaskets (oil pan gasket, front pipe o-ring, etc. e.) . If my buddy's shop would do the physical work but buy parts themselves and compare prices elsewhere, Revain would be much better anywhere. If you're mechanically inclined save the labor and do it yourself, but it's…

Fits 2005 Chevy Avalanche with 5.3L Flex Fuel

This product fits 2005 Chevy Avalanche with 5.3L Flex Fuel and requires no special tools to center the housing around the crankshaft to ensure proper alignment to ensure alignment. To install, apply a small amount of light oil to the crankshaft and carefully slide the housing over the gasket. Rotate carefully and reinstall, making sure the gasket is properly seated on the crankshaft. to block body. Since no alignment tool is used, you don't want to force the housing left, right, up, or down to…

Buy the best first time

Definitely the only way out, this is also an upgraded part with larger diameter oil pan bolts for more even torque around the oil pan, the crank seal is already aligned and installed in the oil pan, too comes with an oil pan gasket, this is difficult (remove driveshaft, remove gearbox and linkage, remove exhaust, gearbox lines and front driveshaft for 4x4). Do not work on your back when the vehicle is raised. The parts are best suited for this PITA job thanks to our friends at GM and the LS…

Cons
  • Not all will fit

This solved my oil leak on my 2003 Suburban! I highly recommend this part if you have an oil leak between the engine and gearbox (make sure it doesn't go over the top of the gearbox or through it). If you can repair and fix your transmission, replacing this part should be easy. I thought my rear main seal was leaking but found that the leak was due to a faulty seal on the rear cover. The protector/guide of the white seal confused me a bit and then I found the right answers. The original seal…

Don't fold, take the whole set of covers and do the job once.

Original GM part. Fits perfectly and makes repairing a leaking rear engine cover a simple process. GM has some EXPENSIVE special tools to install the front and rear covers and oil pan on an LS engine. I've never used them and had no problems. The original tools still do not work with pre-installed basic sealing. Additionally, the rear main seal can be centered on the rear lip of the crank, as opposed to the front cover where it actually seals the damper pulley and not the crank. The original…
