🔒 Genuine GM Spare Wheel Cylinder Lock Case - Part# 15182986 Review

The part itself is fine but there is no backing to hold it. It is required for the installation. I feel like it should have come with that.

Bought by mistake. This part number 15182986 is for GM trucks, not Tahoe or Yukon. It looks like it, but doesn't fit the Yukon or Tahoe, according to a GM parts manager.

later If you don't want to mess with the clip on the back that holds it you can rivet it instead. I used 3/16" x 1/2" aluminum rails to keep them from rusting. They fit well and the lid hides them when closed. I didn't bother with the lock because nobody's going to steal a black steel disc with a half-worn old spare tire.
