Experience Luxurious Shaving with Geo F. Trumper Soft Shaving Cream in Tube - Sandalwood Scent Review

My husband has been using the Trumper line of products since 2007. This product is counterfeit. Genuine Trumper products have a white lid and the label doesn't look right. This product smells awful; more like regular soap than sandalwood.

Let me start by saying this is my first sandalwood. I have never sniffed another but now I want to do it. Pros: I love this cream. It only takes an almond-sized amount to create a great lather with a badger hairbrush or boar hairbrush. I had no problems at all. It's not drying on the face, which is nice too, and the smell is (IMHO, obviously) great. This is a total FAKE! I used to use Geo F. Trumpers sandalwood soap and shaving cream and they are NOT the same! I was skeptical when I opened it and then sniffed it. Terrible. A cheap black cap was a gift.

I order once a month or two and know the goods very well. I love Trumper shaving products. But THIS last order was fake. Terrible chemical smell, oily thick product, not at all like the silky washable shaving soap Trumper is famous for. The packaging was different - a black cap on the tube, not the usual white cap. Beware.

Before I used it, I thought Trumper Shaving Cream looked a bit "furry". I think it smells better than it looks. While it offers a great shave, it doesn't wash the razor off as easily. But that's a small problem. Also moisturizes well.

Have only had this product for a week - if my opinion changes over time I will update the review. The first two days of shaving with this cream didn't seem as good as others (Proraso, Musgo Real). However, for the last shave it seems to me about as good as Proraso but not quite as good as Musgo Real. The size of the tube is convenient for on the go.
