Performance no better than factory/decreases over time

Device performance no better than OEM hardware. Does not amplify the FM signal and is not worth the hassle of installing and removing. Update: The longer this article was in my car, the worse the reception got. I was able to get a decent FM signal when it started, but in the last month the signal has dropped to the point that I've had to uninstall it to pick up FM stations. Didn't have the time or money for this item.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Interval

Better than OEM Good for radio antennas

I don't usually take the time to write a review unless the product is bad. However, this is an exception. Wow, this antenna really works. My original antenna was terrible and the fender mount can be a tricky setup. So I gave him a chance. I'm definitely glad I did that. As for the feedback that it didn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Installation took about 15 minutes and we found a good place to install. And I get radio stations 50 miles away, clear as a bell. Try it.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Bad set

Actually works fine!

Aftermarket head unit upgrade on my Jeep Grand Cherokee only to find the ant power wasn't enough to drive the factory fin antenna. I heard almost nothing from radio stations. I decided to order it based on the reviews, but I was completely skeptical that it would help much. I was wrong. What all the reviews say is true, this thing works great. I live in a small town 35 miles from the nearest town with radio stations and by installing it in the top right corner of the windshield I was able to…

Pros
  • Great Choice
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Pleasantly surprised

I have a 5th generation 4runner, replaced the head unit with Pioneer. Toyota's AM/FM antenna uses 2 antennas for the factory HU, while Pioneer can only use one. So if you use a Toyota antenna on a Pioneer, you'll get really bad reception. since you can only connect one "side" of the antenna. This is where I started looking for a replacement antenna that would work decently and not require drilling or attaching to the outside of the car. I found a GF-Link antenna and decided to try it, thinking…

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Don't buy this!: Radio Antennas

It didn't work. I work 60 miles in the woods on dirt and forest roads, I use an 84 Chevy K10 for work with a windshield antenna, I can only pick up one radio station when I'm halfway to work and it's really bad reception time when I get there That crappy old windshield antenna works twice as well as that piece of crap I bought. Thing is, yesterday I pulled it out and threw it in the trash and I spent some time installing it so that no wires were showing and it installed well.

Pros
  • Remove that ugly antenna and install this cool hidden active antenna with booster.
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

This antenna really works.

The normal antenna in my car was disabled by the previous owner and I was unable to re-tighten the cable. I first tried the ZHOL New Am-fm Hidden Windshield Antenna which proved useless. I replaced it with this model and stuck the antenna plate in the top right corner of the windshield and routed the cable along the interior trim. The radio is now tunable and while this item is probably not as efficient as a standard antenna, it works better than I expected. The product uses a high quality 3M…

It works out! for antennas

This product was used in a 20 year old Lexus GS300. This machine has never been manufactured with a factory standard antenna. It had a proprietary antenna built into the dash with a secret black-box noise canceller. It didn't adapt to Sony's new radio replacement. Sony's new radio lets you use a rear camera and we figured it would be a decade to upgrade. This is my wife's daily driver and she mostly listens to Pandora streaming from her smartphone. At first we didn't catch ANY transmitter…
