🔒 Silver Hardware Cloth - YARDGARD 308199B, 24"x50ft Review

I did a lot of research when it came to this product. I had a problem with deer and marmots coming into my yard. I've raised beds and needed a way to hold them up. The result is raised beds with removable panels. I used this mesh for the inside of the panels as it is stronger than any other product on the market. I ended up with a great garden and no pests.

The originally metallic luster zinc coating on this hardware fabric turned powdery and white almost immediately (several days) after outdoor storage, apparently due to exposure to rain. My hands, arms and clothing were covered in powder residue during installation. Compared to a similar hardware cloth that has been used in my garden for years (which did take on a dull gray patina but has never been that crispy/powdery/oxidized), I would rate this brand as an inferior product and regret ordering

It's amazing! I bought it on Amazon for a lot less than I bought at home. We use it to craft gopher baskets for planting tomatoes. This year they're $3.50 each. With this hardware fabric and a few zip ties, we can make them for about $1 each. They seem to be more durable than the ones you buy as that fabric is 1/2 inch and the hex mesh they use for the baskets you buy is 3/4 inch and also heavier. My wife and I built a chicken coop last summer. Instead of a poultry fence that just keeps chickens out, we wanted something that would keep predators out. Everyone recommends hardware cloth.
