Giles and Kendall have the best quality I've found

I wanted to freshen up my cedar logs and have tried 3 different cedarwood oils on Revain. It seems the big boxes don't carry it in the store. All 3 were about the same price. One of these turned out to be Cedar Spray, which is made by adding a small amount of oil to water. This fact was kept secret until the delivery and return of the goods. The other brand did not smell of cedar even when applied to cedar blocks and dried. It smelled pretty chemical. Giles and Kendall's oil was the best…

It works great for my purposes as an insect repellent

Reduces mites. I apply it about every 2-3 weeks. Seems to be working I haven't seen any more ticks but it's hard to tell what works I'm also switching to rear flea collars and a bunch of other products I've just used everything within a 1 mile radius of my house because I saw a tick My dog.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other products

Use Highly Diluted to Repel Japanese Beetles

I spray this (HIGHLY DILUTED) on my plants that are preferred by Japanese Beetles. dilute heavily. for example 1/200. If it's too strong it will burn the leaves so I dilute it heavily. and test before spraying all plants. In any case, this oil does not completely wash away the leaves and significantly reduces damage caused by Japanese beetles. The bugs still bother the rose petals when they open because there is no oil in the rosebuds, but leaf damage is reduced as you can see in my picture…

Use sparingly. Excellent goods.

Very powerful. Smells just like western red cedar. Doesn't smell like incense cedar or Port Orford cedar. Make sure you know the difference before you buy. The instructions begin by asking the user to sand the wood and check the level of odor remaining before using this product. When the scent returns, they suggest not using the product. (Because it's REALLY strong!) So if you use it, apply very sparingly and outside in the morning and let your furniture soak and air out in the sun for the rest

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
