Use Highly Diluted to Repel Japanese Beetles

I spray this (HIGHLY DILUTED) on my plants that are preferred by Japanese Beetles. dilute heavily. for example 1/200. If it's too strong it will burn the leaves so I dilute it heavily. and test before spraying all plants. In any case, this oil does not completely wash away the leaves and significantly reduces damage caused by Japanese beetles. The bugs still bother the rose petals when they open because there is no oil in the rosebuds, but leaf damage is reduced as you can see in my picture. Another picture shows my canna bulbs. There is some damage to the leaves, but without the cedar oil treatment the leaves would already look so bad that I would have to cut them off.
