The material (which you cannot change) still holds the smells of the food you cook in it. I've found that soaking in vinegar, baking soda, and dawn dish soap cleans it a lot.

I bought this for an older QVC Cook's Essentials 6qt pressure cooker and it worked great. I was ready to throw the device away, but that saved me from buying a new one.

This rubber pad was EXACTLY the right replacement for the one that came with our pressure cooker. It's good to know that if the current one retains too much odor, as it has over time, we can easily order another rubber o-ring from this company.

I bought a stainless steel replacement pot from Amazon and my pressure cooker (PPCXL) no longer built up the right pressure. I bought this pad and it solved my problems. Works better than the original gasket that came with the pressure cooker. It seems more durable and can be attached to the inner lid in any way you like. This means you don't have to remember which side is up and which is down.

I love my old Wolfgang Puck Bistro but after years of use the seal became dry, rotted and broke. An exact replacement could not be found because the stove is no longer in production. I took a chance on this pad and it works great. So happy I didn't have to throw out my favorite and well-used pressure cooker.

I've been fiddling with my XL multicooker with two seals. The first is the original that came with it, the other is the aftermarket one I bought here. Neither of them sealed properly and the original exploded the last two times I used it. So I thought to try this print. Well I'm glad I did. Received it today and tried it out right away. Doesn't flow at all and fits like a glove. Third time charm.

Fits perfectly in my 5 year old pressure cooker (I have the original holder). The ring eventually stopped working. It was a better price than direct from them and it's actually in English where they have it in broken/poor English (seriously it just didn't make sense with what was said). Inserts easily and actually fits snugger than the original, so much so that I had a hard time getting the lid off for the first few uses.
