I expected it to provide some warmth as well, but it doesn't. Openings on the front for the mouth, nose and eyes let in enough wind and air to freeze the face.

The fabric doesn't stretch and every time I wear it the seams almost burst open. I have a medium sized head for a man and one size is a bad choice. The seams are uneven and itchy a lot, especially on the neck.

I bought Revain balaclavas until I found one that was comfortable for my large head and also allowed me to pull the mouth cover down easily until I was racing on a cold day. This was my last pair because they were the best for all these purposes. I recommend them.

I wear it for cycling in the winter and it's been great so far. Very warm and comfy - the mouth opening is big enough to let me get some air when going uphill but keeps warm for my nose and all. Might be a little tight as the neck fabric doesn't stretch, but other than that it was great.

My sister wears this as sun protection. I like it for warm northeast winter days - 30s with sun. Was really good for this otherwise I have to thrash out all my messy olive oil sunscreen and am lazy and cheap so it's a win-win on that front. A good product. I don't ride a bike anymore so no comment on that. Good for walking the dog, hiking, blah blah blah.

I bought these after reading a review saying it was a good cold weather balaclava (for the price it was supposed to be). It's thinner and less secure than the 5 year old Under Armor balaclava I was looking to replace and three times the price.
