I wanted a sophisticated but fun present for my son-in-law for Christmas. He is a traveler and ornithologist so this was a great gift. It's easy to hold and easy to use. It was the perfect gift and he loves it.

I CAN'T FOCUS WITH THE BINOCULARS, EVEN SMALL. THE MONOCULAR WAS A BIG SURPRISE TO ME. I AM A BACKYARD BIRD LOVERS, NOW ABLE TO RECOGNIZE AND IDENTIFY THE SINGER AROUND MY AREA. IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT AND VERY EASY TO ADJUST THE FOCUS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We really like this monocular. First, it's very light, hands don't get tired of holding it. 2nd - what a great view - the lenses make everything so clear - that's all it takes. Third, it's so easy to focus and see how sharp an object is. I love it and would give it 10 STARS if I could!

Good product. It works as advertised. You'll get a tube-like image in your photos if you don't use zoom on your phone. You can judge the image quality and magnification from the attached photos (they were taken at two locations less than a mile and a few minutes apart). The latter was of course filmed without a monoscope. I've added this for comparison (and looks good).

We love hiking in the countryside and this monocular is powerful enough to bring birds to us without being too heavy. Much better than our big clunky binoculars as you don't have to fiddle with two eyepieces. The simple one-handed focus knob is ingenious and well designed. The phone's camera feature is a bit clunky, but it works. The optics are surprisingly good. Being glass, they add a bit of weight but cost a few ounces more.

Subjects shake when zoomed in, but can take some decent photos from closer ranges. Attempting to photograph the moon was nearly impossible without a tripod. The falcon in the photos I uploaded was across the street in a very tall tree and was using an iPhone 7. I am very happy with my purchase. The quality of the monocular seems to be very good. I was able to adjust the phone mount to take landscape photos.

I'm new to this type of gear but I'm impressed with the product. The phone attachment was a bit fiddly (attached to the phone first and then the monocular) and also required fiddling with the phone app to get good results (I can use the phone's zoom to remove the round image, etc.).
