Subject: problems: video converter

This device would be excellent and probably sell twice if it was compatible with YouTube live streaming. This does not currently work for live streaming on YouTube.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • doubtful

FreePBX Audio Decoder

Great PBX audio decoding tool for intercom. The actual device for this cost over $500, so I'm very pleased. Set it to a SIP mode decoder and you're done!

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • Little things

Good encoder, best video converter

I bought mainly for the encoder function. The decoder only works with Grandstream cameras, which is a shortcoming. You could make it compatible with VLC and different codecs, that would be even better.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not sure

Works well but has issues with preview in Firefox

Seems to work fine. The instruction manual could have been better. It is a good choice for detailed technical information about this device. IMPORTANT NOTE: Image preview only works in Internet Explorer. It seems to require some sort of module that Firefox doesn't have. I'm still working on this topic.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Excellent product for UAV applications

I was able to use this product with software I wrote in OpenCV and run the thermal boson camera with it. Unlike other miniature video encoders that cost over $1000 for UAV applications. However, I had to make component adjustments to it. If they could make this product a little smaller, that would be great for UAV applications.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Disappear

Bug software, no support

I have 6 other encoders working in different monitoring applications. I couldn't find an IP address to connect this Grandstream product to my LAN and my Hikvision NVR couldn't get it. The seller has not responded to a request from Revain. The manufacturer is difficult to contact, they referred me to management and said they do not support Revain sellers or buyers. AVOID THE GRANDSTREAM.

Pros
  • Support for line out and mic audio in
Cons

Affordable good encoder/decoder

This device is both an encoder and a decoder and switching between the two is very easy. The IP address software only works on a PC, but once you have the IP address you can configure the camera from any web browser. However, the web video preview only works on PC. I haven't tried the dynamic DNS option, but it works great with a static IP, eliminating the need for IP lookup software. The power cords were just a fraction of an inch shorter so they didn't get stuck in the connector. It was just…

Pros
  • Support for 8MB Pre/Post Write Buffer
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Does what I wanted - converted an NTSC camera to an IP camera

I'm not sure what a person was talking about when they looked complained about it The product only works with Grandstream products. I am using this with a Gadspot NTSC camera to make it an IP camera. I use Blue Iris surveillance software to capture camera images via a video encoder. As such, it works with both third-party cameras and third-party surveillance software. Everything works very well. I've only been testing for a few days and have noticed that the video update on the server sometimes

Pros
  • Enhanced H.264 real-time multistreaming, Motion JPEG at D1 resolution
Cons
  • Something else
