Received quickly. I wanted the feeder to be open and flat so the pigeons could eat too, and not be made out of wood and fall apart after a season. They really fit the bill until I put seeds in them. The small millet seeds eaten by pigeons fall through immediately. The mesh holes are just too big for small seeds. Good for sunflower seeds and peanuts.

Birds love it, especially cardinals and other birds that are too big for my squirrel-proof feeders. I put safflower seeds inside as it will be easy for squirrels to get to this tray, but squirrels don't like safflower so leave it alone. It hangs pretty straight. I added a 3ft chain over it because my tree's branches are very tall and it still hangs very nicely.

This bird feeder is sturdy and good looking. I didn't realize when I bought it that it wasn't solid but it had holes in it and my bird seed is too small and will fall through the holes. I had to put a plate in the feeder to keep the seeds from falling. Looking back, I would have bought a different feeder. If the bird seed is larger, however, you should be fine.

This product looks good. Failed attachments are the only possible weak points, but when they fail, they're easy to fix. I've found birds love feeding platforms, which is great because they're all metal. With 3 chains hanging it wobbles a little more than my large square 4 point feeder but that doesn't seem to stop the birds from flying in. And the price is really good. Would buy again if I had more poles.

Attention, the holes are large enough for small bird seeds to fall to the ground. When I knew! I ordered a plant drip tray to put in it to keep the bird seeds from falling. I drill some holes in the drip tray for drainage and put this bird feeder inside. The feeder contains larger pieces like sunflower seeds, but most bird seed is mixed. This feeder is not suitable. It's really a shame that I have to do this at all. It's just common sense to have a bird feeder that actually holds birdseed…

I just received this feeder and have not been able to use it yet. First Impressions: It's solid enough and should work fine, but only for large seeds and edibles. The mesh is less fine than I thought and small seeds will fall through. I've included some photos to demonstrate the size of the mesh holes.
