I deliberately tested them several times and several times without comparing the water each time (only took a photo and more or less remembered from last weekend) He always saw it with the naked eye right out. Great product, works as advertised. Very well made product. Fits in the bottom of a Yeti bucket, which is both good and bad. The design intent, which nobody here seems to understand, is that it fits a couple of inches off the bottom of the bucket so your cleaning sponge's dirt settles to the bottom, away from clean water. The Yeti goes all the way to the bottom, which is good for bucket storage, but bad because you have to reach the bottom of the bucket to put on your glove or sponge.
