Perfect for my application, in the corner of my porch so I can see who's hiding on the wall. Even the braces worked well for me. Just had to go to the local hardware store and buy some hex head screws to attach it firmly. (How Dish or DirecTV mount the mount on the roof, I asked and they knew exactly what I was talking about.)

Due to the light weight of the mirror, the mount is designed for very heavy loads. The mirror is made of plastic, but gives a very clear picture. I wanted to install this right in the window so I can look out onto the parking lot. The bracket that came with it didn't offer the right angle and mounting holes so I put a tape hinge between the bracket and the window frame and it worked great. Inexpensive and easy to install. I'm thinking of buying a few more of these mirrors for other areas.

The mirror has a high-quality reflective surface and fairly heavy fittings. The ball joint on my mirror is VERY tight. I sprayed it with WD40 but then I realized that there are three screws that adjust the stiffness of the ball joint and then it was very easy to adjust it exactly as needed.
