great for trailers

Works great in my Peterbilt. Everyone drove in circles, the trailer too, and now they're blinking at normal speed, not before when they were blinking at an incredible speed. Must be grounded to work.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Large and bulky

You need a load of at least one amp or it won't work.

LED lights must draw at least 1 amp to operate this device. While a resistor can be added to increase the current, it means you can just add a resistor and keep the old mechanical flasher. The one amp rating is listed but hidden in the fine print, hence the three stars.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Useless features

This flasher might be ok if it worked when I got it. After testing everything for about an hour, I came to the conclusion that this is bad. I ended up installing 2 50w 6ohm LED terminators in the brake/turn signals and they flashed using a standard car turn signal. I tried Grote again just to see if it was bad and it was.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Contact seller

Blinkers overpriced.

Didn't work for me. I added turn signals to my side by side. 4 3/4" LED lights on each side of the UTV. I had a cheap electronic turn signal that flashed the headlights, but they were very weak and the flashing was on/dim instead of on/off I thought it would fix the situation no they wouldn't blink at all with this blinker all i needed was a load resistor attached to a light on each side and boom it works properly now with the cheap blinker i used had to start!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not the best

Can't get it to work

Didn't work. Installed LED position/tail lights and ordered this turn signal as recommended by Daniel Stern Lighting. Grounding can be a problem on Corvettes, so the wire from the white connector ran straight to battery ground. Nothing yet. I installed the original turn signals and they only work with taillights, not parking lights. Grote works with nothing. I may have received a faulty one, so I'm trying to figure out how to test it. In the meantime! Let's get back to the light bulb.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

LED Conversion Project -

I purchased this insight for my Yamaha RD400 conversion project at the recommendation of a 2-stroke forum. After the turn signals were replaced with standard LED turn signals, they stopped working due to a decrease in current in the new blocks. My old turn signal had three pins so there were two ways to connect this unit to my wiring harness. Of course I connected them wrong on the first try and nothing happened. I moved it to the second option and they sewed perfectly. I am very, very happy.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

It works. noisy. Best in Lighting and Electrical Engineering

You don't need an electrical engineering degree or detailed instructions just to wire one. It works great but makes a much louder noise than my standard turn signal, not a problem for me. although I installed it on the bike. Good luck hearing that while my bike is spinning! You must route the extra wire on this turn signal to a ground point on your vehicle (or any negative wire). The flasher requires a ground wire because it is a tiny computer (which needs its own power supply, so a ground) and

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Clarity
