Very easy to put on and my little dog doesn't mind the hood. He hates the rain but in this case we pulled him out in a torrential downpour and only his feet got wet. Follow the measurement instructions and you should get the correct fit.

This raincoat is made of excellent dense material, not the usual thin one, which tears very easily. Great fit for my 58lb Staffordshire Pit Bull. A little gentle pulling it over his head but that's fine as it doesn't smother him and is close enough to his fur that the rain doesn't drip down. As he has short hair there is extra material around his chest but I just wrapped it with velcro and pinned the excess. Keeps you dry and looks good!

This is a good product except that it is not proportioned. The length is suitable for a medium sized dog but the width seems to be for a very large dog. I took size L depending on the length of the jacket and this length is suitable for my dog but it is too loose in the chest area even with the velcro pulled as tight as possible. I really hoped it would fit him but it dragged on the ground and I couldn't even get himself to wrap it around his body to stay covered! Either my dog is oddly proportioned (it's not), or there are some odd dogs. The type of dog suited to this environment has the smallest head and longest body. I assume a sausage could work, but I doubt it. Also, the strap was huge and dragged across the floor. I understand there are many sizes and shapes and not being able to try this on my dog results in a poor buying experience on my part, but I would be surprised to know which dog would fit.
