First of all the bearings and carbide seem really decent. But the build quality is terrible. The bat arrived with most of the paint already peeled off in the packaging. To make matters worse, the bolt holding the bearing was overtightened and almost completely snapped off. The Allen key that came with it didn't even fit, it was so deformed. I gave this 3 stars because I want to be fair. Most reviewers liked that tongue and quill. That didn't work for me. I put in the correct size bearing and tightened the set screw as tight as I could. I first tried it on woodcuts and it worked great. Then I got down to the actual work and it worked great for the first 2 feet of the cut, then the bearing came loose and my work was ruined.
