Does not work with dehumidifiers

This product comes with pink crystals and therefore needs to be charged before use. I charged it overnight and although the device has warmed up and I left it on for the recommended 15 hours the crystals have not changed color and are still pink. waste of money

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Non automatic

Great device for removing moisture in a small space

Bought a Gurin dehumidifier to reduce the moisture in our home safe. We used to use small packets of dry chemical to soak up the moisture in the vault. They worked but had to be replaced every few weeks. The Gurin dehumidifier absorbs moisture well in the safe and can be recharged (by plugging it into an outlet) when the crystals inside change color and indicate saturation. Very happy with this product.

Comfortable and works great

Bought this dehumidifier for safety reasons. I've used several dehumidifiers from different companies and most are fine, but they don't last long or require constant connection to electricity or batteries. The benefit of this device that made me want to try it was that it doesn't use batteries, I can take it out and charge it and then put it back in (I haven't had to charge it yet and it's been around for a while). a week), it's safe for pets (important when it's off and charging) and it's no…

Suitable for dry filament box

I think I bought 3 of these to use in dry filament storage boxes for my 3D printer. I also bought another model but I like these better. The cord is detachable and they come with a handy hook to hang them up while they're plugged in to dry. When I first "charged" them, they seemed to get wet again pretty quickly. But after the second time they seem to last much longer. Maybe I didn't let it run long enough the first time. Putting it in a sealed box with a filament will keep the humidity around…

  • . Good workmanship

Good unit, good alternative to disposables

I am currently using this unit in my bedroom to help with high humidity. I have a dehumidifier but I like to use it in the small space between the bed and the wall. When indoor humidity levels stabilize, I plan to use it in my car this winter to reduce condensation. As long as the product works as it should. I charge it next to an open window about once a week and when it's done I'm good to go again. I like that this thing is quiet (the dehumidifier makes the same noise as the fan but not this…

  • Sturdy build

Great product with a small flaw

I have had my rechargeable dehumidifier for almost four weeks now and it seems to suit my application perfectly in a large telescopic cabinet as it has a humidity sensor for reference. Build quality seems pretty solid too. The initial "charge" took two charge cycles and expelled a lot of moisture, but then everything was fine and has been working fine ever since. My only criticism is that the instructions ask for the device to be charged vertically, but the cable comes out of the bottom of the…

  • No insurance

Does the job for dehumidifiers

I have several of these little dehumidifiers and love them. I use them in large plastic containers where I keep sewing towels, cat food, cat litter, and miscellaneous tools (antique hand grinder, hand tools like old handyman drill bits, ratchet screwdrivers, spare drill bits, my dremmel), shoes, and extra pillows. I also use them in wooden closets where I keep clothes. They are designed for SMALL spaces, so NO, they will not remove moisture from your basement break room. But they do a good job…

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great for controlling humidity in small spaces

I bought three of these devices in August 2018 and was not disappointed. They absorb moisture quickly and seem to improve with each charge. I use them for a variety of purposes including protecting 3D printer filaments and keeping additives dry. Please note that there are not many balls in these devices. They cannot absorb much moisture. So if you put them in an airflow room/pantry/area you can't expect them to last very long before needing to be recharged. This is especially true if you live…

  • Like everything before

  • too stupid
