The supplied adapter that fits on the back of the Ring solar panel was the wrong size. Without this plastic adapter, the item is unusable. Others had adapters that were smaller than the channel on the solar panel they were meant to go into. Mine was MUCH bigger. Cannot be used. The simplest item in the package rendered the entire item unusable.

My first one was too weak at the joint where the plastic casing around the solar cell attaches to the metal shaft bracket. Be careful not to twist it too hard. I asked for a replacement and they sent it to me - it charges my ring perfectly - just wish they had used a better cell frame.

I bought several models of ring light solar panels and wanted to install solar panels on gutters. These fasteners meet all requirements. They are firmly screwed to the gutter and can be mounted on both thick and thin gutters with or without an edge. The two thumbscrews are held securely and the plug-in bracket connects securely to the solar panel. I am very happy with these mounts.

The only comments I have are that the screws are a bit longer due to the shape of the gutter and the small plate that slides in the need groove on the back of the solar panel can be a little more secure. I have a feeling that the solar panel is not properly attached to the mount. However, since I installed this bracket on my gutter, we've had strong winds and it hasn't fallen off.

This is an overview of the ring solar gutter mount (white). I bought it to use with a Ring Spotlight camera that I have installed on my back porch. My gutters are less than an inch thick and this device did the job. The solar panel stayed in place and recently withstood heavy rain, snow and wind here in Texas. Overall this is a very good product and at least for me it worked great.

This bracket is sufficient to attach the solar panel to the gutter. However, this does not allow the panel to be tilted towards the sun. The plate should lie almost flat. It will probably work if you're lucky if your gutter is facing close to the south so the panel can be tilted. I modified it with the extension cord that came with the solar panel.
