I expected it to be flexible and "clamping". In fact, they are more like hard plastic and slip off your feet easily. I added a piece of cut off flat elastic between the item and the legs and that made it strong enough to be glued on. Hope that helps.

We used these on a coffee table in a little used room. Not sure if they will scratch the floor in a high traffic room and/or a lot of movement of the table/product it's used on but all we wanted was a way to protect our hardwood and this simple one highlight river table. We did. Being large enough to cover the 3/8" and 1/2" stem, they are a bit loose on the 3/8 thigh we have, but for our purposes they fit perfectly.

I ordered these protectors to fit the underside of two 1/2 inch thick rounded glass studs because I was renovating my hardwood floors. I carefully measured the thickness of the glass and am very happy with the look and the result. Protectors raise the glass base slightly off the ground. Bought these for our chairs with stiletto legs to protect our hardwoods. Choose "clear" because the legs are made of wrought iron and the solid wood is oak. I thought they were completely invisible. Look at the photos, they are clearly not transparent. They look like gray bubbles. Feet just don't slip. When we tried to move the chairs in and out the legs just came off the legs. I tried putting felt protectors on the bottom of the legs but they came off the legs when we moved the chairs. Finally
