Light and remote control work perfectly. When you open this box the lamps have a really weird smell that I can't describe and some of the paint rubs off into the box. Some of the skulls had no faces and were just flat where the mouth and eyes should have been. In general, they're pretty cool, and no one from afar will notice the missing faces.

They will be packed while the paint or whatever is still wet. I don't know if it's brown paint, stain, or resin, but it's all over the box and on my hands. Very difficult to disentangle. So wear latex gloves or your hands will get stained! Deserves one star because unlike some other reviewers, mine actually works. Haven't tried the remote control. I was going to use it indoors but will use it outside because I don't want to get my furniture dirty.

I was a bit scared of these skeleton lanterns - so many choices. Very pleasantly surprised. Easy battery placement, remote control is amazing. The choice of lighting is amazing. The skulls are aged and look great without lighting. Oh God. The lights inside are red, casting an eerie red glow from within. I love it! .did I mention that I love the console. I think it's really a Halloween item because they're really gross. I thought the reds were red on the outside but they actually look like they're in a dope cup or worse. When the broken box was opened, the brown paint they were painted with was all over the inside of the box and looked ugly. The box was smashed in an intact Revain box and the remote doesn't work.
