Not much good to say.

Purchased with 5m high gain antenna to improve signal quality. Unfortunately it didn't work. As a matter of fact. This did not affect signal strength or image quality. Damn.

You may need more parts than supplied.

To get the most out of the unit I recommend ordering a long coax cable with SMA connectors to mount away from the camera and closer to the front of the trailer. In my case I installed it on the underside of the trailer in front and I installed the external antenna on the mast next to the drawbar. This is how it gets into the cab of a truck with 5 signal bars. It used to have only 1 strip with only camera. I had to cut the connector off the supplied Y-cable and hard-wired it into another side…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Socket required

Good but never used

I bought this booster to use on my route to boost the rear camera signal. The amp seemed to be of good quality. I found the wires on the amp too short to mount on the roof of my trailer where they should be. Many RVs have rear camera pre-wiring located under the parking lights at the rear so the amplifier sits slightly below the edge of the roof. This arrangement of the camera results in the amplifier being located on the rear wall, as the short cables prevent the amplifier from being mounted…

Pros
  • Quality finish
Cons
  • Some issues
