This waffle maker replaces the large square waffle maker I have had for many years. This makes the waffles the perfect size for one person, but will heat up quickly if served to more than one person. It can be stored horizontally or vertically to save space. The waffles don't stick, but I didn't use them without nonstick spray. I make two waffles (1 cup Kodiak pancake mix with 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon canola oil) and cook them for 6 minutes until browned and crispy. . We didn't like that you can't remove the plate to wash. But what I liked is that it's easy to use and pretty easy to clean. I love the price of this waffle maker and I like that the plates are copper instead of Teflon. I was concerned the waffles would not stick or bake through due to the low price and material. However, this waffle maker produces the perfect Belgian waffles that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I've never had any sticking issues and I use the bare minimum of canola oil (about a teaspoon) to clean the panels first. I wish I could be a gourmet chef, cooking everything from scratch,
