Don't waste your money. Both pans opened during the freezing process and began pouring the freezing solution out of the top rims. I contacted Hamilton Beach and they refused to guarantee their product.

The device is interesting. Yes, I am happy with that. However, I see that this is only true for some people. This won't feed a crowd, you need to plan on mixing and actually chilling the ingredients before you machine them into ice cream/frozen yogurt, and you'll get the best results by eating the entire product rather than trying Freeze/store part. This freezer worked very well, was easy to use and froze quickly. While it holds half a pint, that amount will likely stick to the lid (which doesn't hurt, of course, but can get messy). The assembly and disassembly is very easy and the freezer is ready for use in a short time. I bought this ice cream maker and was very happy with it. Based on other reviews I read about this, I froze the bowls for a full 24 hours before using. I added the ingredients, put the lid on and the lid won't close. It lies freely on the shell. Everything was fine at first, but then the liquid froze to a 1/2 inch layer all over the bowl.
