Flows in a month

Bought two of these for the hookah air system. They looked great and worked great for a couple of uses but now after about a month the regulator is leaking badly from the metal part of the hose connection on the regulator body and there is no way to take it apart to fix it. I think you get what you pay for. I'll try to replace them as soon as possible because I don't like blisters on my face when I'm exhaling from my regulator.

I'm glad I haven't had any free airflow issues so far.

For use with a 90cc oil-free air compressor. I keep the inlet pressure in the 70-90psi range and this regulator works reliably and breathes disgustingly well. even compared to one of my high priced Stage 2 regulars. I'm glad I haven't had any free airflow issues so far. Easy enough to disassemble for washing. I unscrewed the yellow front cover to remove some stuck sea debris I had messed up and found it to be a very nice and simple mechanical design. It just works.

Works good, tastes terrible

I bought this to use with surface air to clean the bottom of my sailboat. I set the air supply to 60psi and it seems to work well for just a few underwater. I wasn't trying to go deep. I've seen some other reviews mentioning the bad taste of the black hose that comes with the regulator. I thought these reviewers must be picky, but they were right! Air flowing through the regulator tastes like a tenfold tire store! It's enough to make me cough a little. I will change the hose but overall this…

Bought this regulator for my pool

Wanted to teach kids to scuba dive and get familiar with equipment and underwater breathing in my land pool Connect this to my oil free Dewalt compressor with a real breathing hose ( not normal air hose ) and a coalescing one air line filter. You need an adapter. The black hose that comes with the kit has an awful taste and smell. So I don't use it. For the price, I doubt the health harmlessness of the hose. All in all a good price for bathing fun. I wouldn't take it with me on deep dives…

good value for money

If you're just starting out in scuba diving, this probably isn't for you. If you want to build a cool snorkel system to stay underwater in your pool or pond, this is perfect! I reckon it will take a year or two. It's mostly cheap plastic and has a few interchangeable parts. However, it would probably be cheaper to just buy another instead of parts. I personally wouldn't use it if I dive deeper than 30 feet. The main thing is that it works and works well. It just doesn't look like it's built to…

Amazing value for money

I bought this for a DIY hookah setup. It breathed very well out of the box at 120psi and wasn't much different from my $400 regulator. However, since the plan was to use this with a relatively small battery powered compressor, I wanted to see if I could get it to run at a lower pressure to reduce the heat/stress on the compressor. By removing the small plug opposite the hose inlet and using a 5mm socket I was able to adjust the spring tension and let it breathe very well at only 60psi. for the…

I'm amazed at how well this thing works

This product works great for the price. Sure, you don't get the same features as the $800+ Stage 2, but it does exactly what you want and breathes incredibly easily. I use it to bring air to the surface at 120psi because I found that 145psi is actually too easy to breathe and I found I was breathing in more air than I could easily breathe out. I deducted 1 star because of the included mouthpiece. If you use this item at least once, put a real mouthpiece on it. They cost $10 max and your jaw and

Adjust, keep clean and rinse, should last a while.

So far a great number for the price. Use for surface diving only. Of course I had to adjust it so it wouldn't flow freely at the pressure I'm using, but it's pretty easy because it's adjustable. If you're hoping to use this that often be sure to throw away the included mouthpiece, I call it junk, I've had better pipes on cheap cellar pipes. I don't like the mouthpiece at all. Someone mentioned before that the hose thread is not standard, but it is indeed standard. They are the same as the vast…

Fits my DIY hookah bottom cleaner

I bought this regulator as part of a DIY hookah rig that I use when cleaning the bottom of my 40ft cruising sailboat. My keel is 6 feet in the water, so my head is never more than 7 feet under the water. The regulator is fed through a 50 foot air hose from a "pancake" compressor delivering 2 scfm at 90 psi. purification and purification of water. It takes a little effort to "pull in" air when inhaling, but I suspect this is because I'm delivering a low PSI from an undersized compressor. (The…
