My husband was building a new kitchen table for me and he wanted to add a cross brace underneath. I bought two of these and they worked great. He just put them on the table and ran a board over both spacers, screwed them on and done. They are heavy and appear to be well made.

The brackets themselves MUST be strong if properly spot welded. But that's not the case! One of the two was pretty good, but the second one was torn in the packaging. So I have to send one back which delays the repair of the urinal silencer. Spot welding on them is very bad. Judging by the packaging, they are made in Taiwan.
