Plug and play to turn your GoPro 3B and Canon Vixma into webcams

Work remotely from home Webcams were not available anywhere during the COVID-19 pandemic. All orders have been booked for 3 months. I bought this HAUPPAUGE HD PVR Pro 60 HD and it works great, very simple allowing me to use the cameras I already had as 1080p webcams. I've also been using a Happuage TV tuner card for about 9 years and it works great. When I had a question, tech support responded quickly.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Protection

Great for gamers on external TV tuners

The manufacturer advertises the product as ideal for gamers who want to record their gameplay. But it wasn't me. I wanted to (legally) record the basketball games of the team I follow (Kentucky). The product encountered HDCP protection and failed to transmit the signal. I could go back to the old triple cable, although few TVs have such outputs. But I already have a Hauppauge for that. So for me this device was definitely not a beginner.

Works very well with the Dish Hopper when properly connected.

I use this to archive recordings from my Hopper (I'm having trouble with my external drive and I'm worried about losing recordings). Picture and sound quality is perfect. The recording software works very well. PRO 60 supports HDCP as required. With an HDMI splitter that supports HDCP 1.3, such as B. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004F9LVXC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, you can upload your recordings. Of course you shouldn't do this if it would violate copyright etc.

Not as good as I thought

Some time ago I bought the game version of HD PVR 2, then HD PVR 60 and then late 2019 with the release of Modern Warfare PVR Pro 60. For about 9 months the PVR Pro 60 was buggy and I had to constantly fix bugs and fiddle with the settings to get good recording quality. The video comes out choppy at times and you almost have to use Hauppauge's proprietary recording software; Using OBS makes the video even more jumpy. Software updates have improved things a bit, but not by much. It's hard to…

The HD PVR60 is a high quality capture device

Upgrading my HD PVR2 GE to a PVR60 so I can capture uncensored raw footage from my PS4 Pro/PS5 and XSX that is normally censored using the internal capture feature. I still own my PVR2 for consoles that don't use the HD outputs. The PVR60 is great in its simple design and ease of use. It can be used remotely with an SD flash card instead of being permanently connected to a PC like the PVR2. The quality difference between PVR2 (slightly more saturated and darker colors, shifted image) and PVR60…

Excellent video and sound quality!

I used this to record laptop output during exercise. I used it offline (no software installation required) because I didn't want the software to go wrong while learning. I was very satisfied with the clear result of the video. And it was extremely important that the end-to-end video to the projector I was using was of high quality and lag-free. I also connected a wireless microphone to the audio input to record the instructor. It is excellent for the task and the price. The only improvements I…

Great capture card for my PS4!

great product. The only problem was that I had to buy a separate 6ft. USB-C to USB cable at Target. The same type of cable that came with the HD PVR Pro 60 was long enough to connect to my router, which is great for offline recording, but too short to even reach my PC. It's too uncomfortable to move things just for that. I prefer recording from PC via Hauppauge Capture a bit more because as you can see in the images I seem to have more control over the video quality setting and more video…

No smooth 60 Hz recording. Frames are torn. Several per second.

Record smooth retro games like Super-C with 1 pixel per frame scrolling for crisp, stutter-free results. The old HD PVR 60 records them and plays them perfectly both on PC and when uploading to YouTube. But this HD PVR Pro 60 is not. Same game, same PC, same YouTube, same framerate, same bitrate, same movie format (MP4). HD PVR Pro 60 shows several choppy frames per second. Playing them frame by frame will show that all frames are there. Changing the bitrate and format of the movie doesn't fix…

I used to like the Hauppauge

I was a PVR 2 user in the days of the 720p/1080p transition but switched to a different USB powered external device when I switched from 4k Pass Thru to 4k HDR -TV. When I saw HD PVR PR0 60 on the market, I decided to try it. The overall impression is disappointing, especially with broken features. What it will do: -- Pass 4k to TV/monitor despite not supporting HDR. At least that's what my XBOX ONE X tells me. -- Create beautiful 1080P TS format output with Hauppauge Capture. -- OBS Studio…
