Instead of using it as a traditional cake stand. I thought it would be nice to use as a cookie jar. I can put cookies on the kitchen table and it's not heavy glass so I don't have to worry about my kids dropping it and breaking glass everywhere.

Excellent products. I had a jar and the lid broke. 3 times. I ended up replacing the heavy glass lid. I saw acrylic, I had to try it. It looks like glass and fits perfectly in my glass base. The husband picked it up, expecting it to be heavy. He was pleasantly surprised. You will not be disappointed.

i just got my cake plate and i love it. At first I wanted a real glass but was reluctant as the reviews for some of them weren't very good. The price and reviews for it seemed doable. Especially the price. Well what a great choice. It's durable and looks good. It doesn't look cheap which was a small issue. I wanted something for cakes and desserts after dinner. I bought this primarily for baked goods storage that was not a plastic bag. I'm surprised at how well it keeps gluten free bread fresh as it usually goes bad in about 3 days unless you put it in the freezer. I have stored gluten free bread in it for over a week and it has been fine. My only wish is that the cake stand has some kind of protective coating so it doesn't get scratched easily when you cut something on it. This multipurpose cake stand/tray/punch glass is AMAZING. I just used it last night at a church event in "cake" mode but for sweet appetizers.
