Just hanging them indoors, two of the bulbs broke. They're packed nicely, everything arrived intact. But I'm nervous now about hanging them outside, being so fragile, with wind, rain, squirrels, bumping into them, etc, I don't want broken glass everywhere. I think the plastic are a better choice.Also, they get really hot, I'm a little concerned they could pop or shatter with temperature changes.Otherwise they're nice and as expected. After reading all of the awesome reviews, I’m think our set was just a lemon? We screwed in the bulbs, plugged it in and they initially looked great. We were going to hang them inside my daughters bedroom. Within two minutes, all the lights just went out. Our outlet was still working - we plugged another electronic into it to be sure. Then, I took the light strand to another outlet in another room and still no lights. Returned.

They have worked well for me. I heat two 5’ cold frames by setting metal stakes outside the frames then run a small diameter rope to hang two strings of lights plugged into a timer.

I purchased these to keep my window plants warm by the cold window pane in winter, and they look nice at night, too. I chose the big round INCANDESCENT lights because LED does not warm plants, though they cost less electricity. These were easy to install and all he bulbs worked but one that burned out early, in a few days, but they come with two extra bulbs and are well packed for shipping. You can keep the box to store them way in spring and summer. Good purchase, nice lights, worth the money.

This is my 3rd set of patio string lights and the best one by far. This particular one is 50' long with 50 bulbs that are about a foot apart, which is plenty for my patio area without having to join multiple strands together (which I had to do with my last 2). My husband has recently put up a small gazebo with a lattice wood top. I wanted to add some light to the patio for when we are dining outside. While these small bulbs don't give off a ton of lights individually they are great when run back and forth in rows. These are perfect backyard lights to set some ambiance. Easy to hang or string up. I ran a tension wire first and then attached these just to give a little more security for windy days. Just use mini zip ties to attach the light strand to the cable. Good light brightness and quality. Creates a good look for your yard. These lights work good but the bulbs are smaller than I expected. I have few other sets were the bulbs are plastic and so the bulbs came pre-installed in the string but with this set the glass bulbs come safely secured inside foam sheet. The bulbs need to be screwed into the sockets. All the bulbs arrived in good condition without any damage. Love that these string lights are weather proof. The package also includes two spare bulbs.

The lights were packaged well in individually foam compartments, just have to be careful when taking them out of the packaging, one broke when untangling the wire, but they do give you two spare bulbs. Nice lighting, good quality for the price point. Did buy another set of lights to add to the first set. Hopefully they will last through harsh weather.
