This pedometer does not stay in mode and if it is taken off the belt after a workout it will not show your results because it does not stay in mode! Very poorly made and listed as non-refundable! Would never recommend this product.

Although the description says it counts steps, calories and distance, it doesn't count steps (as others have pointed out). It will count miles or kilometers and theoretically calories, although on what basis I'm not sure. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but the step count was just what I needed for the health program I attend.

First of all, it's non-returnable - be careful buyers. The device has a small LCD display and a reset and mode switch button. Although there is a piece of paper called "Instructions for Use", there are no actual instructions on how to use the device. It's called "Pedometer" but I still haven't figured out how to get it to count steps. My summary is simple: I wish I had never bought it.

I think this is the perfect simple pedometer. It does the job, counting distance, steps, and calories burned. I use this thing when I run on the treadmill and also when I climb for work. I haven't had any issues resetting the counter, but I'm also rather careful with it. I clip it to my pants and haven't found anything yet. All in all a great reliable pedometer.
