🔥 Heat Shrink Butt Connectors 22-16 AWG Review

Used with a wire fly crimp. The best system I have ever used for butt splicing or adding connectors. I'm a boat mechanic and use these terminals on the boats I work on. They are shrunk on with a heat gun after crimping and the adhesive inside seals the crimp and helps prevent corrosion due to the constant salt air environment.

These 10-12 wire connectors work fine. After crimping and shrinking, I've tried unsuccessfully to disassemble them, which is what you want. I even cut the heat shrink tubing on the test and the crimp was fine. In my setup I use them to reduce #10 wires to #12 wires and both sides were crimped well. All in all a great product.

Use multiple. This brand has proven to be excellent value for money when compared to "high end" connectors that cost around $1 per connector. They require a bit more heat to shrink properly than expensive ones and care must be taken not to use too much heat or they will crack. But for the money they really aren't that much worse than expensive name brand connectors. Very important!

I used these connectors on a fountain project and they are great. The design allows me to crimp all the wires on one side of the cable and then connect the other side one at a time so you don't have to try to connect both sides at the same time. I effectively used a Mapp gas torch to waterproof the connections, but I think a smaller lighter would actually work safer to prevent burning nearby wires. Wirefy connectors have significantly thicker plated copper barrels than competitors and the heat shrink tubing is coated internally with a strong adhesive/sealant that appears to melt right into the wire insulation. They are translucent so you can see the wire and crimp to make sure everything is in the correct position before you crimp. The result is a super strong connection with very little risk of wire pulling, which is common with inferior quality crimps. That's all I'm going to buy now. I

These are quality connectors. Don't waste your money on a lower quality product. I use butt connectors in all sorts of applications and have used connectors from a number of other manufacturers. They are well made and come in a nice case that you won't just throw away. But don't buy them for the case.
