Measurements inaccurate

The stated diameter of this product is 5.12 inches. This product has finally arrived, measuring only 4.5 inches in diameter. It is too small for most ceramic sockets.

NOT SURE! MAY KILL MY BEARD

my bearded dragon managed to break the feather and got stuck in its mouth. I had to take him to the vet's emergency room for emergency surgery. DO NOT USE WITH LIZARDS!

The addition calibration is misleading and incorrect.

Hole size on the picture does not match the hole size. The hole is smaller and not suitable for a lamp. I bought them this year and they fit. It seems that the size given is no longer the size of the hole, but the size from screw to screw. What does not work. Also in the attachment is the size above the opening. Not screw to screw.

  • Robust design

Great Lightkeeper!

This is great. Big and looks good in the case. However, I would measure the fixture you attached it to to be sure. Also I would recommend a screwdriver, drill, drill bit, I pre-drilled the holes and then screwed everything in. So in my opinion it was easier. There are also some parts on the back that you may need to press down with a flat head as they are sharp and can protrude. This was easy enough to make and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this for your snake/lizard enclosure.

  • Free for educational purposes

Fits Ceramic Heat Radiator in Skink case

I used this to cover a 60 watt Ceramic Heat Radiator (CHE) in Northern Blue tone Skink case. It was very difficult to get over the jig, but when completed it fitted perfectly. I almost thought I'd have to cut the top wire of the frame to fit it onto the bracket, but it slipped off with a little nudge. It seems to be the right size to close the CHE and mount without hanging too far where the skink can climb on it. The spring-loaded door makes it easy to swap out the CHE or light when needed. It…

Generally good thermal protection. But with a drawback.

Over the years I have used many products to warm the various reptiles I keep. One of the most effective ways to heat a space for an enclosure is to use a heat lamp or radiant heater. When using a heating pad/radiator, it is imperative that you protect the animals from direct contact with the heat source. I usually build my own heat shields, but with the cost of materials escalating I decided to try a pre-made one. This one is built pretty well, looks sturdy and should work just fine. The only…
