This is a nice looking welding jacket with some nice features. First is the FR cotton back panel. This still affords some fire protection while reducing weight. The rest of the jacket is a heavy split cowhide leather. Thoughtful shoulder marker pockets are a nice addition. There are also 2 front pockets as well as an inside pocket. The buttons a re heavy duty and there is velcro between the front snaps to seal the jacket shut. A bit of a pain, but provides great protection from those sparks…

This Jacket it awesome. The buttons are easy snapping and unsnapping. It stays closed and doesn’t randomly pop open. I was worried it would be too hot but it actually keeps the heat off me and I stay cooler. I did buy a size up so I could wear a thick shirt under it in cold weather and it isn’t baggy. The soap stone shoulder pockets would have been better more forward. The smell is from the leather process and goes away very quickly.

Bought this jacket for my son as a Christmas/ Birthday gift and 3 buttons were off, 2 laying in the box and 1 fell off as soon as I took it out of the box ( both sides of jacket where buttons are put on the snap part and the other where the snap meets to keep it buttoned up were off.) Initial impression: I carefully took it out of its plastic bag to make sure that if a button falls off, that I would not lose it. No buttons fell off. I carefully detached the push buttons and no buttons fell off. Phew!I then carefully proceeded to test common complain #2. Smell. This is not a Lincoln jacket it is a copy. The one I ordered was supposed to be XXXL and what I received was more like a L or XL. To be fair it did seem to be made well and pretty close to an original. To save about 50 dollars order up about 3 sizes larger.

This is a great jacket. The large size easily fit a 5'10". 150 pound frame with some space to spare.The buttons are snap and the sleeves have a button adjustment for a snugger or looser fit. Velcro seals as well to make sure you have a full protection.Great protection against the showers of sparks that can happen when you're working on a car or doing some freestand welding. The stitching is good and sturdy.

Bought this for myself. I am a female welder. Loved the jacket and the quality.Only down side was the chest area was not large enough to accommodate my boobs. I am plus size and ordered a 3XL which is usually my shirt/jacket size. I needed to size up to the 4XL.

I use this when welding underneath my truck. My T-shirt just wasn't doing the job and I kept getting burned with hot steel. This adds a good layer of protection and even has Velcro between the snaps. It has a very slight odor but does not have a very heavy disgusting raw leather odor.

Hubby loves this jacket but there is a lingering smell to this jacket that just annoys me. It is heavy and the stitching is perfect on it. While welding you feel secure knowing the embers won't ignite the threads or the material.

My wife and daughter think this looks nice on me. True to size, good sleeve length. It does have a strong smell to it - the dye, maybe? It's also quite heavy. This isn't something I'd use for casual wear, but I think it would work well for the stated purpose of protection against heat or puncture.

I really like the feel of this jacket - front is super heavy to protect against sparks . This is exactly what I was looking for , I have the basic cloth welding jackets they are ok . This jacket is top of the list for comfort , protection , must easier to snap on with a bonus of two velcro closures for a quick welding job, to hold jacket closed . Liked the coat and would have given a 5 if the third time I wore it the bottom snap hadn’t broken. Fortunately there is also Velcro to hold close but would expect the snap to be of better quality.

Anyone who has ever used a cutting torch, or welded under a car, knows how many sparks shower down onto your body, and especially your upper body. Got a size XX jacket for my husband and he said the fit is perfect and the jacket feels great on him. He welds frames and the sparks do not burn his clothes. It is not heavy to work in but still looks great.

I like this jacket and is really comfortable. Not too stiff. The only thing I am disappointed about is one of the snaps broke.
