Thin leather, may be slightly longer

Heavy duty leather fly swatter with leather head. The head is a bit short and would have needed an extra inch of material. The skin is very flexible and somewhat thin as it is flexible. That being said, at $12.95, it's fair value.

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • High price

Surprisingly good good for pest control

My wife ordered this one and I was surprised that it worked so well. I believed that fly swatters should have lots of holes so air would flow through the fly swatter and not blow the fly out of the line of fire. When I first got this I thought the holes would be missing but everything seems to work fine. She ordered it because we often use those wire/plastic fly swatters that bend by hand or break the flapping part. It is a wooden handle with a heavy leather fly swatter. Should last a very long

Pros
  • Leather fly swatter with oak handle. The overall length is 18 inches and the leather paddle measures 4 x 5 inches. Has a leather cord for hanging the fly swatter when not in use.
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Respectable. Kill bugs.

I bought some good fly swatters this year. This is my first knife with a hardwood handle. It looks good, but the wire handles certainly add more punch. It's really a matter of preference. Whichever grip you prefer, if the fly swatter hits an insect, it will most likely be mortally wounded. This fly swatter is a bit short but looks nice and functional. A leather fly swatter is riveted to the handle. My only real complaint is that mine arrived with a 1-2 inch cut on the surface of the treated…

Pros
  • Use it to kill pesky flies, bees, roaches, cicadas, mud mites, horseflies without chemicals or spray.
Cons
  • Not fashionable
