I bought 3 of these refurbished drives for my home server. All 3 passed the initial tests and formatted without errors. The big plus for me was the 5 year warranty which is better than what I got with the new drives I bought. Time will tell if these drives will hold up, but with a 5 year guarantee I'm sure it was a very good buy for my server.

Okay see people complain give me 4TB for that price and they complain. I've been using these drives on my computer for over a year, all 6 are all 4TB and I've had no problems. Use to save all my storage space for video editing and music editing. Out of the 6 I bought 1 didn't work but it was caused by rough handling by the postal service. I bought 7 of these drives for my home server and expect to use them in the data center for some time. I tested them all in the Seagate SeaTools tester and the SMART report for each drive shows 0 hours of use and 0 TB write access. My WD Elements drive is keeping up with these drives. I measured 53 degrees Celsius while running the HD Tune Pro Read and Verify test on the entire drive in an outdoor dock.
