From the moment it was unpacked it was pretty clear that the quality in shape, plating, movement etc is poor. There's weight, there's just no pride in the product being made. I expected a lot more from HHIP even though it's not a super high-flyer. The photos show where the casting has been repaired, turned and ground to make it acceptable. You can make up your own mind after seeing what I received. Spend your money elsewhere, the 6" HFS vise I fitted to my Enco grinder was very good.

Worst vise I have ever used. I bought two to put side by side. The first problem is that you can't use them without a rotating base. If you try to screw them on without a socket, they get hot and won't stick. My old 6" vise from the same company (HHIP) works fine without the swivel base.
