AM2302 digital temperature and humidity sensor is a calibrated digital signal output temperature and humidity composite sensor. It uses a dedicated digital module acquisition technology and temperature and humidity sensing technology to ensure that products with high reliability and excellent long-term stability. The sensor includes a capacitive sensing element and an NTC temperature sensing element, connected to a high-performance 8-bit microcontroller. Therefore, the product has excellent quality, fast response, anti-interference ability, cost-effective advantages. Each AM2302 sensor is calibrated in a very accurate humidity calibration room. The calibration coefficients are stored in OTP memory in the form of programs that the calibration coefficients are invoked within the sensor during signal processing. Single-wire serial interface, the system integration becomes simple and quick. Ultra-small size, low power consumption, signal transmission distance up to 20 meters, making it the best choice for all kinds of applications and even the most demanding applications. Kept it outdoors in a good weatherproof case for a month, works great

Spent a month outdoors in a good weatherproof case, works great. One night it got too humid and my sensor failed. Be careful as it seems overly moisture sensitive for some reason, other than that it worked great.

Humidity was far away

I have 2 of these sensors from different suppliers and the humidity readings from both were about 20% lower than my other devices including the DHT22 which actually works. I've tried different wires, pins, resistors, libraries with no change. I even went through the complicated recalibration on the datasheet. I'm sending it back and probably won't play around with such a sensor in the future.

Not very impressed, got both readings, but there are some problems

As mentioned, the humidity is not right. I'll have to try it in other environments, but it looks 30% lower than what my phone says for rh (of course that sensor is closed). The temperature seems a few degrees warmer by about 2-5 degrees. I can work with that, mainly because of the tempo. It's a bit of a hassle to have to configure the sensor programmatically. Another thing I noticed is that it seems slow to keep up with big changes as the temperature changes.
