Works well but needs to ignore scheme

Module works as expected although documentation is incorrect or confusing hence one star deduction. Ignore the chart. Header pinout is wrong, use silkscreen instead. The device accepts 5V or 3.3V power (do not connect both). The 5V pin connects to a 3.3V regulator to power the Enc chip. Pin Q3, leave the 5V pin unconnected. The ST pin is MOSI and should be marked as a SI pin. The output of LNT is INT. I used it with a Raspberry PI Compute Module and it worked great! 10MB is a bit slower, but it

ENC38J60 does not support W5100 code!

Not really the manufacturers fault but when I was looking for a W5100 module to work with the ENC28J60 (which is not 100% compatible with the ENC28J60) I had a choice: wheel new invent or blow another $14 for the module. a module that actually had the right chip. Either way, that puts a damper on my project. Not happy about that.

First impression: not so great. Second impression: It works.

An update to this review. My first impression wasn't brilliant, the documentation link is dead, and although it's listed as a 3.3V part, the 5V input is a bit confusing which may sound odd. As others have pointed out, the silkscreen is odd, e.g. MOSI is marked "ST". All of this points to the fact that this thing really works. The 5V input goes to the 3.3V regulator, so yes, that part is actually the 3.3V part, at least as far as the DIO lines are concerned. I hooked it up to a Pi Zero and it…

The chip itself is perfect (ENC28J60) but the breakout board isn't

EDIT: This board requires a 5V input while I've tried using a 3.3V -Input to supply indicated in the data sheet. One thing to watch out for is the less than initial soldering and ambiguous pinouts on the breakout board. There is pin Q3 which functionality is lost to me because the pinout in the HiLetgo schematic doesn't show it, there is a second ground pin and although the power pin shows 5V this board shouldn't have a 5V input work unless there is an unknown level switch in the board. The…
