This device is almost ready to use, the GPS program connects and runs its functions without any problems. Brilliant. I used it for a weekend event on a laptop with no problems. After a weekend event, I moved this device to a rackmount Linux server. This also worked fine and provided a stratum 0 time source for our NTP requirements. For a radio amateur (ham radio) location reports are very useful as we support community events, search and rescue, civil protection etc. more wonderful small key makes position reporting simple and easy. When plugged in it is basically a serial device (COM port in Windows) that transmits NMEA data. a plastic bag labeled with an email address for drivers etc. Email them and they will respond within a day. There are drivers and a control program (u-center) with amazing complexity. It's not very intuitive. Out of the box, it did an excellent job with GPS fixes. GLONASS does not seem to pull.
