Description of Hillman 150006 Coarse 18 Inch 100 Pack

Zinc coating for a corrosion resistant finish. USS coarse nuts for coarse threaded bolts. Be sure not to strip your nuts by over tightening. Use a nut that is consistent with your other fasteners. For use with a 5/16" bolt. 100 nuts in each box.

What can I say? They just work

I don't know how to rate a box of nuts but they are as advertised, have good coverage and the thread tolerance I expect all on sale at low prices.

First time I actually saw broken nuts

The first 8 out of the box had bad threads and would not screw onto the threaded rod. As a result, about 1/2 of the box ended up in the trash. Luckily I only needed a handful and had enough neatly cut to complete my project. very disappointed with these.

I bought screws for machining and you have to choose from both boxes until you find the right one as the thread quality is very poor. Every third bolt was .

Really disappointing in quality. I bought bolts for machining and you have to choose from both boxes until you find the right one as the thread quality is very poor 3 bolts there was a problem. Sold by an American company but made in China what a surprise. hands off them.

Perfect when you need them!

As described. I used vernier calipers and went through a batch of 20 to check the average diameter and they were in the right place. They should be great for weighting the toys I make, saving me 3-4 bearings for each toy. I'm planning to add some weight to see if I can add weight to the ends, but my review unit works fine and is perfectly balanced. To make sure the threads are correct I tried screwing them onto my 3D printer's lead screw and the batch I tested fitted perfectly so they seem to…
