Good price but don't expect miracles

Seems to stretch and wear out fairly quickly. On the other hand, if I needed exceptional durability, I would probably order something more expensive. It worked well, which is all you can expect at this price point, so I gave it a good rating.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It's very thick and difficult to work with

This is nothing like the clothesline wire that came with my clothesline. This is a very thing and difficult to work with. It barely slipped through the holes in my umbrella's clothesline and then failed to tighten. I guess I've been stuck on this since I opened it. Also, it's a lot thicker than the wire that was already on the clothesline. It is not flexible at all, very difficult to work with, impossible to tighten.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Useless as a clothesline

Useless as a clothesline. It stretches and sags with very little weight. Repeated tightening just stretches it more and more. From this I made a 12 foot long clothesline. I hung two pairs of wet shorts and a wet t-shirt on them and this stretched the line so much that when they dried and I took them off the previously stretched line had a lot of slack. I pulled it up and we tried hanging a wet blanket over it but it couldn't support its weight at all. GARBAGE!

  • Sturdy construction

Strong clothesline, suitable for storing and organizing laundry

I bought two 100ft packs to tie my umbrella clothesline. While pulling the full 100 feet through each hole on each side was tedious, this line stayed taut and tidy, unadjusted, despite multiple laundry loads a week for the past four months. Due to the inner wire, it was difficult to tie the end without using pliers to tighten, but it was worth it as the cord doesn't sag because of this wire. I can't imagine replacing it unless the outer plastic coating cracks from UV rays. Good value for money.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • A few small things

Line OK - outer plastic plus - read to understand how outer plastic

This clothesline has a white plastic body filled with 14 gauge solid wire and rope . You can't hang a Toyota Tacoma pickup on it, but it's enough for a lot of laundry. Be careful if you decide to thread the line to the hook and back to the other endpoint. I did this and the cord broke at the eye hook point. I patched the leash with a Shoe Goo and then replaced the eye hook with an aluminum block to distribute the load where the leash attaches to the house. I like the plastic look compared toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • won't break, understandable even for the old

Best Clothesline, Seriously

Where has it been all my life?! I've been hanging clothes on a clothesline for almost 10 years and always use the traditional cheap nylon cord. This rope works great for a few months but always needs to be changed at least once a year and sometimes twice. It discolors, sags, and eventually breaks. However, THAT is amazing. I've had it for a few months now and it still looks brand new. It holds a lot of weight, doesn't sag, discolor or mold, and looks great. To be honest I was upset that Iโ€ฆ

100 feet. White Plastic Wire Reinforced Clothesline

I definitely didn't expect such a high quality from a clothesline - the wire inside is light metal and very strong - looks like 18 gauge wire - reinforced with fiberglass strands - heavy white Plastic coating The wire is smooth and flexible. I used Anchor Wire clothesline to reline our worn out "umbrella" clothes dryer with a single pole, 4-way aluminum fold device. Made of plastic-coated wire, this clothesline is STRONG ENOUGH to pull one 50ft rope and LONG enough to pull two 50ft ropes. Someโ€ฆ
