We chose this system because it filters out chlorine and chloramine.

Having drunk very clean well water my entire life, I had a hard time adjusting to city water after we moved to upstate New York in May 2020. It had a very strong chlorine smell and my personal system felt out of place. When researching the effects of chlorine internally, I found that it kills the good bacteria in your digestive tract. We haven't felt even a hint of chlorine since installing it. As someone who once had a remodeling business I believe I am well versed in plumbing and electrical…

I'm very glad I bought this instead of Aquasana

I had it installed by a plumber with a bypass and everything went smoothly. I can taste the difference and no noticeable difference in water pressure. Although we have good city water, we were concerned about chlorine and other chemicals, taste and some metals. This filter fits. With just two people we can get out of sediment and carbon filters for a year or more. Aquasana looked good but had some flaws. 1st Prize. 2) More than necessary. 3) Not all advertising says this, but you must first…

Peace of mind, clean water to drink

Very happy with this filter! My family lives in an area that should have good city water (Arlington, Virginia), but I bought this filter for additional insurance. I read Civil Action (a book about a community affected by polluted water, made into a film starring John Travolta) and was surprised to learn that people who become ill from polluted water often take most of their burden. . through the shower water. When you shower in hot water, your pores open up and 20 to 50+ gallons of water (and…

Best Quality Filter - Great Tasting Water

1 year use. I'm in a newer house in a newer area on city water (ie plumbing isn't old) and am still catching everything. I love the great tasting water that comes out of my filter and I love that I only have to change the filter once a year. The packaging of the Revain carbon filter is not very good and the last filter ordered was cracked. The crack was pretty hard to see, so just a word of caution: order the filter in advance, check it when it arrives, and make sure it doesn't surprise you…

Great product for kitchen and bathroom fixtures

I hate monologues but here it is. I live in Kansas and the city water tastes pretty bad. You can actually see the undissolved solids floating in the water. My parents spent thousands of dollars on the Culligan men's style system and it seemed like a complete rip off so I didn't want to go there with my purchase. I first bought a three filter under the kitchen sink reverse osmosis system from Menards about three years ago and installed one of those single filter systems from the same shop in the
